Amanda Rushton, Staff Writer
As a junior at SFHS, Amanda Rushton has just started her first year at the birdfeed, where she enjoys writing about STEM, music, and pop culture-related topics. Despite being a writer, Amanda is also an artist who favors portraits of charcoal or graphite and has been drawing since elementary school and throughout high school. She has diverse tastes when it comes to music, ranging from metal to grunge and pop punk. Her favorite artists include Metallica, Alice in Chains, and My Chemical Romance. Amanda is also an avid reader and loves reading psychological thrillers and mind-benders. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, collecting and sorting pictures on Pinterest, spending time with friends, and attending concerts. She is passionate about biology and psychology, where she wants to pursue a career that will allow her to further research and help people like herself with ADHD. She is also interested in helping people who struggle with other cognitive or mental disorders and exploring the biological aspects of these conditions.
