Schedule

Calling all rising freshman! It’s time to hear about schedules at South! In your freshman year, there are some classes that are mandatory in order to graduate like Health and P.E. At South, we are a yearlong schedule of classes, however there are a few semester classes, such as Health and PE; semester classes means that you take one part of the course the first semester and finish out the entire course the second semester. In your schedule, you have 4 core classes and 3 electives which make up 7 periods up in your schedule. Furthermore, you have all 7 periods on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Wednesday and Thursday are 4 period block days; on Wednesday you have all your even classes and on Thursday you have all your odd classes. New this year is SOFO Flex and this will be added to your schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. IF will be part of your classes on Wednesday; IF, also known as Instructional Focus, is a two-hour period that allows you to make up tests, study, complete homework or projects, and meet with teachers if you need any help. More imformation about this will be known when you come to school!

In your schedule, try to plan out one class that allows you to relax. Also, between classes, you have 7 minutes so make sure you plan out the way to your next class and don’t waste time in the hallways!
