Yerin Kim, Staff Writer
Yerin Kim is a sophomore at South Forsyth High School and very excited to be a part of the BirdFeed for a second year. She enjoys writing very much and is happy to learn the different techniques that journalism uses. She appreciates the creative freedom of being able to choose what case she wants to write about. She also has a lot of fun working with different topics as she finds interesting happenings around the school that she wouldn’t have known about otherwise. She wants to use her love for writing to provide an easy-access source of school information for its students. Kim’s favorite subject is Biology, and she is looking forward to her Essentials of Biotechnology course. On a completely free Saturday, she can be found reading, writing, drawing, making edits, singing, teaching herself to play guitar, baking, and dabbling with animation. She loves Percy Jackson, any given Gordon Korman book, and the Wolf Hollow series. Kim has the role of social media and membership assistant officer in FCCLA, and she hopes to help build the club community. She is excited to join HOSA and MD Junior this year. Her other extracurriculars are Taekwondo, volunteering at a Korean School from 9:30am-2pm every Saturday, and singing in her church group’s band. She hopes this year to be a fun and efficient high school experience, and to connect with new people.
