A Glimpse of Another Life

Saahithya Gutta, Lifestyle & Features Editor, Social Media Lead

You told me my eyes

Were the color of your go-to coffee order

At your favorite café.

So I said

Your eyes reminded me of stormy skies,

My favorite weather.

We shared merely a moment

And within it a lifetime.

I could see us in rocking chairs

When I said goodbye.

To the stranger in the bookstore,

Maybe we weren’t meant to be

Maybe we were

But together,

Our home was beautiful

And our lives were full.
